GMB: Kate Garraway speaks about her time in panto
Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway has opened up about a "bucket list moment" she experienced during the festive season. On Thursday's episode of the ITV morning programme, the beloved presenter engaged in a light-hearted chat with her colleague about their recent activities.
Kate excitedly revealed to viewers that she had made a cameo appearance in the pantomime Robin Hood at the prestigious London Palladium. She expressed her elation over the role, saying: "I've never done anything like this before, this is a bucket list moment.
"I got invited by The London Palladium no less, you know that amazing pantomime with Julian Clary in? I played the Palladium! I was King Richard, it wasn't a huge role I have to say. But, they don't tell the audience who is coming on as King Richard you see."
Kate humorously reflected on the audience's reaction, adding: "So you have this awful feeling they're really hoping it's someone good! " ITV audiences were then shown a clip of her triumphant stage moment, reports the Mirror.

Continuing her story, Kate said: "I got a laugh! It was so amazing, just did two shows. I don't know who is going to be on tonight but it's always good."
Later on in the show, Adil teased he hoped Kate was going to be going on pantomime for a full season next year. She replied: "Only if somebody asks! I'd definitely say yes."
Speaking about other people who have played King Richard in the show before Kate, the ITV star shared David Walliams, James Cordon Corden and Lee Mack.
Playing another clip of Kate on-stage, people heard her made a crude joke about 'crowned jewels'.
She explained to Adil: "Basically, they've got this great thing going on where they surprise the audience with different King Richard's over the season and they clearly most of them are men, funnily enough, so there were lots of jokes about crowned jewels!"
The conversation took another turn when Adil, after showcasing Kate's pantomime stint, mentioned that he had also been working with her 'other employer'.
ITV's Adil Ray has caused a stir with the announcement that he will be taking over the airwaves on Smooth Radio as a guest presenter.
After already making his debut on December 29, he's set to light up Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th January with more shows. Adil expressed his excitement about the opportunity: "I cannot wait to get back to the best job in the world! Radio! "
He lauded the station's success, adding: "And to be joining Smooth when they're absolutely flying. I will now be singing along to the Smooth playlist not only in my car but in the studio too! I hope you'll join me. Bring your dancing shoes!"
Good Morning Britain continues weekdays on ITV from 6am.
