Saturday Kitchen: Sara Pascoe critiques Matt's cooking
BBC's Saturday Kitchen was brought to an abrupt halt on January 4th as Sara Pascoe told Matt Tebbutt she wasn't a fan of his dish.
He presented her smoky aubergine with red pepper, chilli and walnut relish, but she didn't seem thrilled as he asked her what her thoughts were.
She said: "I do have thoughts," as Matt replied: "Give me one," with the rest of the room agreeing.
Sara continued: "I think frying aubergine is the best thing you can do with aubergine. I think you've almost made it like a chip. Very clever."
Matt hit back: "Deep fried anything is delicious," as Sara moved on to her next comment of critique.
She continued: "What are we calling this underneath? Tapenade?" To which Matt replied: "Kind of like a red pepper and walnut paste".
Sara told him: "I think if you took the walnuts out, it would be lovely."
Matt replied: "How are you with other nuts? You could do the same thing with almonds," as Sara simply nodded and played with her food.
He then told her: "It's alright, you don't have to keep going. That's all from us today on Saturday Kitchen," as he abruptly moved on to end the show.
Matt told viewers: "I'll be back at 10am next week on Saturday Kitchen", as he added: "Can't wait for that," as he pulled a face at the camera.

Fans rushed to social media to comment on the awkward moment, as they were divided over Sara's comments. One said: "Finally!! An honest guest who says when she doesn’t like something. Don’t think Matt was impressed … ‘it’s alright, you don’t have to keep going’."
But one grumbled: "Is there anything this woman does eat?" as another added: "A vegan who doesn’t like aubergine? - Nonsense!…"
Saturday Kitchen airs on Saturdays on BBC1 at 10am.
