James Whale throws Charles Amos off show
James Whale unleashed fury on political commentator Charles Amos after he doubled down on his controversial comments about winter fuel payments on his TalkTV show.
Appearing on Saturday, Mr Amos sparked uproar when he said he believes elderly people do not need the winter fuel allowance,
Instead, he suggested they "reduce their leisure expenditure by 10 percent" to make up for the lost payments.
James Whale warned: “You’ll be thrown out on your ear in a moment because I am getting really cross.”
But Mr Amos continued, saying: “If you look at the average pensioner, you will find that they have taken £1.20 out of the welfare state for every £1 that they have paid in. So, the average pensioner can’t say, ‘I’m entitled to this income because I have paid in all of my life’. No, you are entitled to 5/6s of it and that’s it.”

An enraged Mr Whale shouted: “There’s the door!” and asked: “What are you doing this for? You are doing this to try and make yourself famous and I rue the day that I invited you back (on the show).”
James’s co-host Ash Gould pointed out that Labour said in 2017 that 4,000 pensioners would die if the winter fuel payment was axed, to which Mr Amos retaliated: “Are you giving them any money? No, you wouldn’t. You don’t really care that much about those 4,000 people.”
Mr Gould bellowed: “How dare you! There’s the door! Security!”
Whale also pointed in the direction of the crew and said furiously: “Take the break! You can go and you are never coming back. You know, you talk absolute b*****ks you really do.”

Viewers reacted angrily to the moment, with one tweeting: "He says these things for publicity. I would prefer TalkTV not having him on the shows. I turned off until he disappeared off my screen."
Another echoed: "Why is this dreadful Amos given air time?"
A third said: "He's got to be a parody, TalkTV just winding us up surely." And a fourth added: "He's got to be parody/actor/comedian surely."
Amos sparked outrage last week when he appeared on GB News to defend incestuous relationships.
Amos was invited onto the show to discuss MP Richard Holden's calls for first-cousin marriage to be banned in the UK.
The writer told Andrew Pierce and Miriam Cates that "individuals should be free to marry and have children with whoever they want".
He said: "I would include siblings in that. If you look at the number of birth defects amongst individuals that are father and daughter or brother and sister, it's about 57 percent.
"Although you may go 'that's absolutely terrible', I moan those individuals wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the marriages that created them. Sure, the birth defects are, but it's better those birth defects exist than not existing at all."
