Chris McCausland recalls 'brave' outfit choice on Strictly
BBC The One Show made a triumphant return on Friday (December 20) evening with Alex Jones and Lauren Laverne at the helm for the year's final episode.
The presenting pair welcomed an array of stars to the studio, including crooner Tom Grenan, Strictly Come Dancing's very own Anton Du Beke, and comedians Chris McCausland, who clinched victory in the BBC dance contest earlier this month, alongside Lee Mack.
Following a chat about Chris' impressive triumph, the upcoming 20th anniversary special of Strictly airing on Saturday (December 21), and the duo's latest film Bad Tidings, Alex and Lauren took a moment to express their gratitude to those involved in the show before signing off for the last time in 2024.
Alex expressed her thanks: "We just wanted to say thank you so much to tonight's guests and thank you to all our guests and contributors who have taken part in the show this year and thanks to everybody who works so hard behind the scenes to put this show together."
She continued with heartfelt appreciation: "But the biggest thanks, of course, go to you at home for watching and we'll see you on January 6th next year.", reports Wales Online.

During the programme, The 1% Club's Lee Mack couldn't resist poking fun at his fellow guest Chris for his choice of attire during one of his performances in the Strictly Come Dancing Final.
Lee, who had been in the audience to witness Chris and his dance partner Dianne Buswell lift the Glitterball trophy on December 14, quipped: "I was just watching that clip again of you dressed in that white suit, which is a very brave colour for a man of your age, Chris."
Chris hilariously recounted: "That white suit was for the couples choice and the first time we did that Dianne had been up all night with a virus out of both ends so it was very brave to wear white the first time around."
