You: Trailer for fourth season of Netflix show
Fans of the hit series You have been on tenterhooks since part two of season four dropped on Netflix in March 2023, and at last, there's a buzz of excitement as news about the fifth and final season breaks.
On Thursday (December 19), Netflix stirred the pot with a tantalising first-look poster, placing the notorious Joe Goldberg front and centre, surrounded by newspaper clippings of his past victims - a stark suggestion that his dark deeds might finally catch up with him.
Taking to X, the new face of Twitter, Netflix teased: "Goodbye, you. The killer final season of YOU is coming in 2025."
But the lack of a specific release date left fans in a lurch, with Netflix only hinting that the show will premiere sometime next year. Disappointed viewers took to social media to air their frustrations.
One fan lamented: "I was celebrating until I found out that it will be released in 2025," reports the Mirror.

Another chimed in with a sarcastic jab: "You made us wait an entire year for what? We could've been had part 1 and part 2 or the whole series. This show still has dedicated fans BUT a lot of the casual fans been moved on and found other shows."
The clamour for details grew, with one person demanding: "When Netflix? Give me the exact date! Let me not hear November next year."
A Reddit user expressed annoyance over the delay: "Netflix teasing this coming in 2024 and then getting pushed back ticks me off. It better be January/February time."
You chronicles the life of the charming yet perilous Joe, whose obsessive tendencies lead him down a path of extreme and often deadly actions to shield himself.

However, the shadows of his dark history loom, threatening to upend his idyllic existence. Returning to the screen alongside Penn Badgley are stars Charlotte Richie, Madeline Brewer, Anna Camp, and Griffin Matthews.
Sera Gamble, the showrunner, has dropped hints about what lies ahead for Joe after the dramatic end of season four. Speaking with Hollywood Reporter, she revealed: "He's gotten to come home again which is significant." She further elaborated on the character's journey, saying: "Something that we felt like we didn't need to keep going forever with was the idea that every single time, pretty much, that he killed somebody, he not only has justified it in his head, he's justified that it was probably an accident a lot of the time."
The series, You, initially launched on Lifetime in September 2018 and made the leap to Netflix following the green light for a second season.
