Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen is officially back on our screens after her Channel 5 show was cancelled, embarking on a new project on Our Farm Next Door.

But many fans of the Yorkshire Shepherdess may not realise that mum of nine Amanda actually went solo for a brief period in between her two family focused series.

Our Yorkshire Farm was cancelled by Channel 5 after Amanda and husband Clive Owen separated, and after a three year gap, Channel 4 picked up the Owen clan for a new show, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids, charting the family's attempts to restore an old barn.

But in between the two shows, Amanda spread her wings and starred in a little known series on More 4, Amanda Owen's Real Farming Lives, where she travelled the country, exploring different farms up and down the UK.

In the first episode, it wasn't just Amanda's glamourous turn as a 's*** pixie' which had viewers laughing, but a game of 'farmer Top Trumps' which exposed how Amanda has 14,800 photos of the same thing saved on her iPhone.

Amanda went to Castle Farm in Newport, south Wales, to see the Rickard family and got to grips with their cow business including a stint as a 's*** pixie' getting the animals ready for a show.

She also took a look at the farm's side hustles, including milkshakes and a farm shop. At one point, Amanda challenged the head of the farm, Martin Rickard, to a game of 'farmer Top Trumps'.

She said: "If I type sheep on my phone and see how many pictures I can get, see if you can compete with me if you type cow."

"Right, I'm gonna declare, how many pictures of sheep have I got on my phone?"

"14,870. Now I'm going to type cow on my phone see if I beat you. 1,435, there you go."

Martin replied: "You take far too many pictures."

"I think I know who was the winner there," Amanda replied.

Elsewhere in the episode, Amanda was tasked with cleaning the cows for a show in Monmouthshire, including taking a cow into the showground itself. Martin described her job as a 's*** pixie', cleaning the faeces off the cows, but thanked Amanda for doing a good job of it nonetheless.
