Return to Paradise: Mackenzie says Koalas have chlamydia

Return to Paradise fans believe they had unmasked the evil murderer moments into the latest episode as they begged BBC bosses to "stop the show".

The beloved BBBC crime drama returned with a bang on Friday (December 14), as DI Mackenzie (played by Anna Samson) put her little grey cells to the test for the latest murder investigation.

She and Detective C.S Colin Cartwright (Lloyd Griffith) found themselves called to the scene of a protest, where a body had been found in the middle of a public protest.

When she asked the four chained-up suspects what they were doing there Colin responded: "Protecting the koalas. And who can blame them.

This led Mackenzie to announce: "Most of those koalas have chlamydia," much to fans delight, as Colin responded wryly: "They didn't get it from me."

It didn't take long before fans flooded to X - formerly known as Twitter - to poke fun at the hilarious moment online, with many sharing their suspicions over the identity of the cold-blooded killer.

One viewer commented: "Most of those koalas have chlamydia."That’s it. Stop the show. We’ve had the best line. It cannot be beaten #ReturnToParadise."

Another pointed out: "We'd still cuddle them. Probably. #ReturnToParadise." Meanwhile a third had a theory about the suspects writing: "The Koalas did it. #ReturnToParadise."

While the Koalas didn't transpire to be the killer fans had plenty of other thoughts about the episode and were loving the show.

"Perfect night #ReturntoParadise is brilliant, one of the best new series of the year!!" one viewer applauded.

"Another amazing episode of #ReturnToParadise tonight! Totally loving the series, @ReturnPOfficial you can do no wrong Same time next week everyone?!" another fan applauded.

However some people found fault wth one element of the show - specifically Mackenzie's wardrobe.

"#ReturnToParadise I know it's the theme of the show, the detective wears exactly the same clothes everyday of every week.but it does grate and is off putting...Mack's not the worst..but Neville with his jacket tie and ruchsack..were preposterous...Mack's just smelly & ridiculous," one viewer raged.

They were forced to change their mind shortly afterwards though as the DI sported a new look.

"ReturnToParadise ...and to prove me wrong..Mack changes her blouse.. and no doubt has a shower...well done gal..but still two buttons undone....shame about the waistcoat...but getting there.....perhaps I'm warming to her...." they pondered.
