Return to Paradise: DI Mooney takes call in teaser clip
Return to Paradise fans have spotted a Humphrey Goodman crossover in the Death in Paradise spin-off.
On Friday night, fans tuned in for the fourth instalment of the BBC series, which saw Mackenzie Clarke (played by Anna Samson) solving another mysterious murder.
Mackenzie plays the series' first female lead, however, fans have noticed similarities in her character to other former Death in Paradise detectives.
Taking to a Facebook fan page, one fan said: "Mackenzie is the female version of Humphrey, I love it."
"OMG, yes, I totally see the crossover," someone else agreed, while a third added: "The female detective is definitely mimicking Kris Marshall."
Someone else went on: "Mackenzie is Humphrey Goodman vibes."

In previous scenes, fans also noticed a Ben Miller crossover in the spin-off, and even Anna, who plays Mackenzie, admitted there were similarities.
She said in an interview with Express.co.uk and other press: "So the show, without being a carbon copy of the original, has lots of tips of the hat to the original, not just with the characters but even certain shots are paying homage to the original, like on the beach with the suitcase and not [wearing] an appropriate outfit for the weather. That is certainly a wink and a nod to the original."
Earlier in the series, Death in Paradise detective Jack Mooney (played by Ardal O'Hanlon) made a surprise appearance but has not been seen since.
Despite not meeting Ardal during filming, actress Anna explained that fans can expect to see more of Jack as the series continues.
The actress continued: "We can expect Ardal to make more than one appearance than just in the first episode because he plays my boss back at the Metropolitan Police.
"I am in constant contact with him, trying to figure out when I can get out of Dolphin Cove and come back to London. So he's quite an important character to Mackenzie, he is her boss and someone she is friends with and respects."
She added: "I didn't get to meet Ardal because he shot his stuff in London and my stuff in Australia. I want to meet all of [the Death in Paradise cast]. I think it is something about playing the lead detective in a Paradise show, so I want to talk to them; I would love to meet them all."
Return to Paradise returns on Friday on BBC One at 8pm.
