Cross: Official trailer
Amazon Prime subscribers are currently gripped by an enthralling new crime drama that only premiered on the platform yesterday.
Titled Cross, this gripping adaptation of James Patterson's popular books about the renowned fictional Detective Alex Cross has launched with a first season loaded with suspense and action.
Crafted by Ben Watkins, the fast-paced narrative thrills as Aldis Hodge brilliantly portrays the eponymous character, who juggles his roles as both a detective and forensic psychologist.
The series tracks Cross in his high-stakes quest to apprehend a malevolent serial killer bent on enforcing his twisted will upon unsuspecting victims.
Alongside the central storyline, Cross grapples with personal turmoil as he navigates fatherhood to his two children amid the devastating grief caused by the murder of his wife, whose own killer remains unknown, reports the Mirror.
The ensemble further boasts Isaiah Mustafa of Shadowhunters, Ryan Eggold from New Amsterdam and Alona Tal recognised for her roles in Supernatural and Veronica Mars.
Audiences have swarmed to X, previously known as Twitter, sharing their impressions of the thrilling eight-episode drama, which impressed Amazon bosses so much that it has already been renewed for a second season.
