FX's Say Nothing official Disney trailer

The upcoming Disney+ drama, Say Nothing, boasts a cast ranging from British acting legends to emerging talents. Based on the New York Times Best Selling Book by Patrick Radden Keefe, Say Nothing covers murder and memory set against the backdrop of Northern Ireland during The Troubles.

Spanning four decades, the series focuses on the chilling disappearance of Jean McConville, a single mother of ten from Belfast who was abducted from her home in 1972.

She was murdered by the IRA, with her body finally discovered on Louth beach in 2003.

Say Nothing delves into the lives of various Irish Republican Army (IRA) members, exploring the lengths some individuals will go to uphold their beliefs in a divided nation.

The series brings to life numerous real-life figures, portrayed by seasoned TV actors and rising stars. Here's everything you need to know about the new Disney+ drama's cast.

Who stars in Say Nothing?

Lola Petticrew plays Dolours Price

Dolours Price, a Provisional Irish Republican Army (IRA) volunteer, is the central character in Say Nothing. Dolours was imprisoned for her involvement in the 1973 Old Bailey bombing, which injured over 200 people and is thought to have led to one fatality.

Her 2013 obituary sparked Keefe's inspiration to pen the novel, which later became the basis for the new drama series.

Lola Petticrew, recognised for her roles in BBC's Northern Irish drama Bloodlands, Wolf, Three Families and as Jane Seymour in Channel 5's Anne Boleyn, is a key player in the series.

Maxine Peak plays Dolours Price

Maxine Peak, the Bolton-born actress known for her performances in Shameless, Silk and Black Mirror, portrays an older Dolours Price in the Disney+ drama. The drama spans four decades, with Peak appearing throughout the series.

She has also received acclaim for her chilling portrayal of infamous serial killer Myra Hindley in ITV's See No Evil: The Moors Murders.

Hazel Doupe plays Marian Price

Hazel Doupe takes on the role of Marian Price, Dolours' younger sister by three years and the other half of the notorious Price Sisters. Initially seeming to live in her elder sister's shadow, Marian's character evolves as the series progresses.

Doupe, a Dublin-based actress, has previously appeared in The Miracle Club, The Ulysses Project and TV series Smother.

Josh Finan plays Gerry Adams

Josh Finan portrays Gerry Adams, a cunning commander who rises through the IRA's ranks at a young age - despite his consistent denial of being an IRA member. Known for being elusive, this trait proves beneficial as he transitions from violence to politics.

Finan, known for his roles in Baby Reindeer, Guy Ritchie's Netflix series The Gentlemen, the feature film Shook and Neil Marshall's Hellboy, portrays a young Gerry Adams.
