GB News presenter sparks concern as he's replaced by co-star at last minute

The Patrick Christys Tonight show on GB News had an unexpected change as the famed broadcaster was replaced by Bev Turner.

The presenter confirmed that she would be stepping in for her colleague’s 9pm show as she stated: “Buckle up bedtime crew, you’re with Bev.”

As his absence was unexplained, fans took to social media with concern to ask about Patrick’s whereabouts.

@adamsmith0072 Beverley said Patrick may be off for a while……hope he’s back on soon…..he’s not left has he? Love his shows !!

As @OscarVine11 echoed: “He’s brill, but deserves a break & Bev is a superb replacement while he’s away.- Tbf Ben is excellent on the eve show too.”

Throughout the show, Bev welcomed a panellist of guests to shares their opinions and debate a sprawling amount of topics.

This included Justin Welby’s resignation as Archbishop of Canterbury, Gary Linekar’s Match of the Day replacement and Keir Starmer at COP29.

Although Patrick’s absence wasn’t addressed, Bev had informed fans she would be fronting his show after detailing her busy day.

Taking to X, the 51-year-old shared: “Britain's Newsroom this morning, GBNews Originals all afternoon; three hours in the car in the rain; 2 x parents evening; back at the studio sitting in for @PatrickChristys on @GBNEWS from 9pm. Send wine."

She was inundated with applause as viewers praised her endurance including @Shindig53 who wrote: “Nobody better than you for that 9pm slot in any case Bev!!!”

@KevinFa18747924 remarked: “Feel like I’ve been watching you all day. congratulations on still looking and sounding great despite the long day.”

As @SusanAtha4 noted: “You did great @beverleyturner ,you let the conversation flow & a bit more relaxed presenting than is usual.”
