The Traitors: Claudia Winkleman announces plot twist
The Traitors is officially back on our screens, and already it's provided plenty of tension and suspense. After the opening episode, viewers found out which Traitor players had been selected - but one of them could have their identity quickly exposed.
According to body language expert, Judi James, she examined the behaviours of all three Traitors and the big mistakes that people are making in the shows so far.
Speaking to Paddy Power Games, Judi said: “Last night’s newest episode of The Traitors provided a masterclass in bad lying with their body language in their roles as Traitors leaking clues with every move they made or word they uttered.
"Like three rookie poker players they were throwing tells and other signals of deception out like confetti from the word go. Their biggest lie was telling Claudia they are good liars."
Speaking about Linda, she commented: “Good liars have excellent memories and will retain every aspect of their lie in their brains to ensure they don’t slip up later on.

"Poor Linda fell at this first hurdle in comedy style when Claudia barked out ‘Traitors’ at the round table and Linda’s head snapped round to listen as she clearly forgot her role of Traitor was supposed to be a secret."
She also added: “Lying or masking produces a stress response in the body and Linda also started to scratch herself in a ritual of anxiety arousal when she was accused of being a Traitor. Her other ‘tell’ is a micro-moving of her jaw that hinted at inner anger at being pointed out.”
The first episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger as viewers didn't find out who had been nominated for banishment.

In this nail-biting series, 22 contestants compete for a cash prize worth £120,000. After getting to know one another on the first day, three contestants are selected as Traitors living amongst the group of Faithfuls.
It is up to the Traitors to kill off a faithful each day without causing suspicion within the group. Each day, the cast complete a series of challenges with a chance to win an immunity shield to avoid being murdered by the Traitors that evening.
Later on in the day, the group congregate around the round table and vote off one contestant who they suspect to be a Traitor, each sharing their theories as to why.
Regardless of their role, the eliminated contestant is then forced to reveal if they are a Traitor or a Faithful to the cast before leaving the castle for good.
The Traitors resumes on BBC One at 8pm.
