The much-anticipated John Lewis Christmas advert is set to tug at the nation's heartstrings once again, with its launch date now confirmed for Thursday, November 14.
Known for their emotive storytelling, John Lewis has become a staple in Britain's festive season build-up, captivating audiences with memorable characters like Buster the boxer, Moz the monster, Edgar the fire-breathing dragon, Monty the penguin, and the man on the moon.
This year's release is shrouded in secrecy, but a cryptic teaser has surfaced online, hinting at what's to come. The snippet features a cosy sofa placed on an ice rink, surrounded by skaters clad in wintry attire, alluding to another heartwarming narrative.
Adding to the intrigue, the teaser is accompanied by the strains of Cyndi Lauper's classic 'Time After Time' and the mysterious caption: "Tick-tock, tick-tock. The Gifting Hour."
Brad Kella, the celebrated victor of The Piano 2024, is set to score the music for the highly-anticipated advert.
Speaking with MSN, he expressed his elation: "For me it's an absolute honour to be a part of such an amazing and magical project.
"This will really get people excited about choosing gifts for loved ones and Christmas starts in most households when the John Lewis Christmas advert comes on so it's great to be part of the build up for it.
"When I was a young aspiring composer, I dreamt and manifested that hopefully one day I would be composing music for John Lewis and to say it has come 'true' is a dream for me."

A new teaser trailer showed a striking pink jumper. The festive ad, titled 'Give Knowingly', charts the journey of this standout garment, as narrated by actress Samantha Morton.
She tells viewers that the bold colour was not the recipient's first choice. "Knowing you're not into pink, but your mum knows it suits you and that this will become the jumper."
A woman is later seen receiving the jumper at a Christmas party, only to take it off and leave it on a chair - but as her mother predicted, it soon becomes a favourite item.
The advert ends with a message to viewers: "Just know, it's for you and the person who gave it to you."
