Chris McCausland on turning offer down from Strictly bosses
Strictly Come Dancing star Chris McCausland has already landed his next big gig, which could be on screens this Christmas.
The comedian has been dazzling BBC One fans with his impressive moves alongside Australian professional dancer Dianne Buswell for the past few weeks, but he will be back on screens again around the time the glitzy competition officially wraps up.
Chris will be storming the big screens alongside The 1% Club host Lee Mack. The pair will unleash a new festive movie, Bad Tidings, a production by Sky Studios Elstree.
Although the exact date for the film's release is not yet known, it has been confirmed that the hilarious pair could be taking centre stage before Christmas. The movie follows feuding neighbours in Stockport who eventually join forces to save their street from notorious burglars.
The production has been written by BAFTA-winning team Laurence Rickard & Martha Howe-Douglas (Ghosts, Horrible Histories) with the help of funnyman Chris - who is currently bookies' favourite to lift the iconic glitterball trophy.

Lee Mack joins that cast alongside Rebekah Staton, Sarah Alexander, Ben Crompton, Emily Coates, Josiah Eloi, Millie Kiss, Tupele Dorgu, Sunil Patel, Susan Kyd, and Donna Preston.
Viewers can expect a lot of laughs as they follow home security expert Neil (played by Lee) and his annoying neighbor Scott - who refuses to take his Christmas lights down each year - along with mixing up their bins and generally winding Neil up.
Much to Neil's announcement, Scott—who is blind—is loved by all in the area and is appointed head of Neighbourhood Watch, a role that Neil struggles to understand, given his inability to see.
The pair get into lots of bickering matches with their hate for one another building when Neil triggers a power cut, causing a total outage for the entire street.
With the street down on CCTV, light, and any other security, notorious burglars seize the moment to grab their chances by robbing every single house. Neil and Scott are forced to come together to take on the criminals.
Speaking about the exciting role, Chris said: "Talk about a back of an envelope idea that has got out of hand, we are now making a Christmas comedy film and it's going to be awesome. I can't wait to get up to some hilarious mayhem with Lee and bring some festive spirit into people's living rooms this Christmas!"
Not Going Out star Lee was delighted with his part, adding: "I love Chris McCausland, I love the script, and I Love Christmas. Where do I sign?"
A release date and channel for Bad Tidings is yet to be determined but is hoped to be on screens around Christmas.
