Emmerdale star James Moore appears to have tied the knot to his partner Sophie.
The soap star has played Ryan Stocks in the ITV since 2018 when he first moved to the Yorkshire village as Charity Dingle's long-lost son, who she conceived after being raped at the age of 14.
The TV star, 31, lives with ataxic cerebral palsy which the NHS defines this as a developmental disorder that affects motor function and can cause problems with balance and coordination.
It is understood the happy couple met back in 2019 after sharing a series of loved-up snaps online at the time. James and Sophie live together with their adorable cat Tonto, who James has tattoed on his leg.
Back in May last year, the actor took to Instagram to announce that he had popped the question to his partner as he shared a series of sweet snaps of the happy couple as the bride-to-be sported a sparking ring on her finger.
Sharing the joyous news online, he confirmed: “We got engaged!” as they were flooded with comments from their famous friends and loyal fans online.
Now, it appears as though the actor has said ‘I do’ to the blonde bombshell. On Saturday (November 2), the TV favourite took to Facebook to share the exciting news online.
Updating his friends and family on Facebook, the young actor - who hails from Cheltenham in Gloucestershire - changed his relationship status from ‘in a relationship’ to ‘Married’. He also tagged his new wife, who has since changed her surname from her maiden name Edwards to Moore.
It didn’t take long before fans flooded to the comment to congratulate the happy couple online. One user penned: “Many congratulations and best wishes to you both!” as another echoed: “Congratulations [party popper emoji]. Wishing you lots of love and happiness in the years ahead.”

A third echoed: “Huge congrats to you both. I was thinking of you yesterday Sophie Moore, can’t wait to see all the photos.” A fourth chimed in with: “Congratulations James Moore and Sophie, couldn’t be happier for you both sending love and hugs.”
Before he found fame as an Emmerdale favourite, the star admitted that he originally struggled to find parts after leaving university.
He completed a degree in photography and studied at the National Youth Theatre which led to him taking part in a number of plays and short films prior to his role on soap.
In an interview with The Mirror, James explained how he feared his disability would impact his career as an actor. He told the outlet: "In order to have roles there needed to be disabled roles developed, so I was like, that could hold me back a little bit."
But since joining the show, he has won the Best Newcomer award at the National Television Awards for his portrayal of Ryan. James impressed Emmerdale bosses so much when they hired him that they let him have a substantial input in the role itself.
He went on: "When I was brought in, they were very open to learning about me which I really liked. I had a lot of conversations with people at ITV in Leeds and the researcher team, who asked me lots of questions about my disability, what I do - like my background and my early life - they really did a deep dive."
Emmerdale airs Monday to Thursday from 7.30pm on ITV1 or catch up on ITVX.
