Strictly's Sam Quek 'gutted' after shock exit
Strictly Come Dancing fans were left less than impressed on Sunday night as the former Morning Live presenter Sam Quek and Nikita Kuzmin were booted off of the BBC show.
The duo, who earned a score of 29 for their Foxtrot routine, took to the dancefloor for a Taylor Swift-inspired performance for Icons Week.
However, it seemed as though the judges weren't blown away as she was second-bottom on the leaderboard, just above Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystał.
On Sunday, Sam and Nikita were in the dance-off with Montell Douglas and Johannes Radebe, who earned a near-perfect score of 35 for their Whitney Houston-inspired routine.
In the end, judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas all opted to save Montell, sending Sam home.

Although it seems as though one former professional on the show doesn't think the judges made the right decision.
Former Strictly Come Dancing star Ola Jordan, who appeared in the show between 2006 and 2015, has teamed up with Mecca Bingo to share her thoughts on the latest elimination.
When asked if Sam deserved to go home, Ola replied: “No, she didn't deserve to go home. I think it was probably one of her best dances, but at the same time, I think people probably thought she was safe, and that's why they didn't vote.
"It was quite a nice week for her, her dance wasn't offensive in any way, it was very pretty. It was very safe at the same time, it wasn't like the best ballroom dance I've ever seen because she's not a dancer and she's quite stiff in her body and there needed to be a bit more movement like that, but I think she was good for her. "
Ola confessed she was surprised Sam ended up in the bottom two as she believes it was her best dance during her time in the competition.
The former BBC star was also taken aback by Montell finding herself in the dance-off, especially as she's fourth on the leaderboard.
She added: "People probably thought she would be safe as well. It was a lovely clean routine, although there were a couple of hiccups with her footwork, I think.
"But overall, it was a lovely dance. It was just nice, very pretty from beginning to end. I think sometimes people just think they're safe and they don't vote, so I'm surprised about both of them being the bottom two.”
Sam is now the sixth person to leave the competition, following the likes of Tom Dean, Toyah Willcox, Paul Merson, Nick Knowles and Dr Punam Krishan.
When asked by BBC host Tess Daly about her time on the show, Sam had nothing but praise, despite being sad to leave the competition.
She said: "I’m gutted, I just want to say thank you. I’ve learned so much. Strictly has just brought that spring in my step back. It’s just been an absolute joy.
"Nikita, you’ve been key in helping me find that inner Sam that was there, who went a little bit quiet for maybe one or two years and has just come back. I’m gutted because I do feel like I still have more to give."
Nikita confessed he was in awe of his celebrity dance partner as he added: "Sometimes they say it’s about the journey, not the destination, but to me it’s about the company."
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Saturday on BBC One from 6:35pm.
