Outlander fans in stitches as Caitriona Balfe details on-set prank
Outlander's Sophie Skelton, known for her role as Brianna Fraser, is set to take on a new challenge in an upcoming psychological thriller.
Since 2016, Skelton has been portraying Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser's (Caitriona Balfe) daughter who left her life in the 1970s to start anew in the 18th Century.
The first half of season seven saw Brianna and husband Roger Wakefield (Richard Rankin) separated as she stayed in the 1980s while he journeyed back through the stones to find their son Jemmy.
Prime Video and Starz fans won't have to wait long to see what happens next, but in the meantime, Skelton has been busy with a new film project.
The 30-year-old actress will feature in the forthcoming psychological thriller Row, currently in post-production.
Filmed in Caithness, a historic county in the far northeast of Scotland, Row is said to be "inspired by real-life expeditions".
The plot revolves around a failed transatlantic world record attempt that leaves a woman stranded on a rowing boat. With her crew missing, she must try to recall what happened to prove her innocence.
Joining Skelton in Row are Plebs actress Bella Dayne, New Blood's Mark Strepan and River City's Tam Dean Burn, among others. While a release date is yet to be confirmed, the film is expected to premiere in 2025.
However, Outlander isn't the only project Skelton has been involved in.
As of yet, a release date hasn’t been announced but the film is scheduled to come out sometime in 2025.
This isn’t the only project Skelton has been working on though since her time on Outlander began.
She has also starred in Ren, Another Mother’s Son, 211, Stalker and did voiceover work in Castlevania: Nocturne.
Outlander season seven part two premieres on Friday, November 22, on MGM+ via Prime Video in the UK and on Starz in the US.
