Our Yorkshire Farm's Amanda Owen makes heartbreaking admission about kids' struggles

Amanda Owen revealed an emotional truth about her children during today's episode of Our Yorkshire Farm.

On the Saturday night (19th October) rerun of the Channel 5 favourite, fans watched as the pandemic thwarted the familys plans to attend their favourite event, theMuker show due to its cancellation. Yet, resilient as ever, they organised their very own competition amidst the breathtaking but daunting landscape of their farm.

In an inspiring show of spirit, Amanda and the eldest children tackled a challenging course, climbing across dramatic landscapes and sheer cliff faces, while even the youngest joined in with a less daunting version of the race.

Overcoming treacherous parts of the course, including scaling a metal fence high above a rapidly surging river, the Owen clan showcased remarkable bravery.

Post-race, as the family gathered to indulge in celebratory iced buns, Amanda - who placed fourth - expressed immense pride in her kids.

But it was Amanda's candid reflection that resonated deeply: "They're all happy. That is terrain like you wouldn't believe! They haven't been to running club, they haven't been training," she confessed, adding poignantly, "They've got rubbish trainers, they haven't got kit."

Amanda and Clive, parents of nine kids, are reuniting for a new Channel 4 series, Our Farm Next Door. In an interview with Hello! magazine, she shared: "I absolutely am. I've got nine kids. They're all very different characters. Raven's very academic, she's working as a scientist and still studying. I'm so proud of her. 

"Reuben too, he's doing something completely different, but doing what he loves. It's the same with the others, they've all got their own personalities."

She added: "Being here on the farm is the best school you could ever wish for because it gives you the space and room to find out what you love and what you hate. I'm not for one minute thinking that they're all going to be farmers, but they have got such huge opportunities to channel what they like."
