BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty left fans in stitches as she took a cheeky swipe at her co-stars live on air.

During Saturday's visit (October 12) to the BBC studios, the 49-year-old broadcaster woke up the nation alongside her co-host Charlie Stayt. The presenting duo discussed some of the biggest stories hitting the headlines on the famous red sofa.

This included an evaluation of Sir Kier Starmer's first 100 days in office, the reveal of the Rob Burrow Award at the Super League Grand Final and the misleading hygiene scores littered across shops and eateries up and down the country.

But the show took an unexpected turn after the broadcaster teased the upcoming show, Saturday Kitchen, with host Matt Tebbutt. This week, they welcomed actor and cook Stanley Tucci onto the show where he shared some of his favourite comfort dishes with the star-studded cast.

After sharing the upcoming segments on the BBC show, the 50-year-old broadcaster urged viewers to stay tuned for the whole show.

He chuckled: "Don't drop out halfway through please, we'll see you at 10" as Naga reassured him, 'We'd never do that, Matt."

It was at this point that the camera panned back to the BBC studio as Charlie commented on how much fun the team appeared to be having on Saturday Kitchen.

He noted: "It always looks like they're having such fun there doesn't it?" as Naga added: "They do have fun there."

Sports reporter Mike Bushall added: "We have fun here though, as well, don't we?" to which Naga bluntly replied: "When? When does that start then? At 9.59?"

Charlie cheekily added: "We've got 29 minutes left of the show to find some fun" as Mike moved on with the show to discuss the upcoming of the America's Cup sailing competition.
