Corrie: Dee-Dee and DS Swain listen to Joel's message
Coronation Street fans brace yourselves for a gripping twist as spoilers reveal the chilling details of Joel Deering's (played by Calum Lill) demise and the murder weapon that ended his life, sparking an intense investigation in Weatherfield.
In an upcoming episode this week, viewers will see DS Lisa Swain (portrayed by Vicky Myers) and PC Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) huddled in Roy's Rolls, piecing together the puzzle of Joel's mysterious death.
Despite being removed from the case, DS Swain is desperate to catch up on the latest findings from her colleague.
DS Swain can't contain her curiosity, pressing Kit with the question: "What did the post-mortem say? " To which Kit nonchalantly responds: "Oh that. Yeah right. He's dead."
An unamused Swain pushes for more: "You're a child. Cause of death?". Kit reveals: "It was whacked on the head.", reports the Liverpool Echo.

As DS Swain digs deeper: "Any idea on the weapon? " their exchange is abruptly cut short by Ronnie Bailey (Vinta Morgan), who's eager for news about his niece Dee-Dee Bailey's (Channique Sterling-Brown) villainous ex.
The officer sharply instructs Ronnie: "Okay so here's what you need to do. You need to apply for police college, do your time and when you become a constable ask to be put on my team, then I'll fill you in."
After Ronnie departs, DS Swain resumes grilling Kit. She probes: "So, weapon? " Kit discloses: "Something well heavy, whoever broke into his flat, they used crowbar or something similar so until we get a better lead that's the thing we're looking for."

The scene leaves DS Swain absorbed in her thoughts, but what secrets might she be harbouring?
After initially winning over fans, it was later unveiled that Joel was behind Lauren Bolton's (Cait Fitton) disappearance, having persistently abused her and exploited her vulnerability.
Joel recently vanished after abandoning his car and seemingly faking his own death. He left a suicide note in his vehicle, but it was later confirmed he had purchased a second car - throwing into question whether he had taken his own life.
However, Craig Tinker (Colson Smith) disclosed that Joel's body had been discovered by a riverbank. DS Lisa Swain and colleague Kit Green later confirmed the death to Dee-Dee, despite not finding Joel's body, suggesting that Joel has indeed died, but who is to blame for his demise?
