Fans of Good Morning Britain admitted that they were "switching over" due to an excessively loud segment on the ITV show this morning. Presenters Kate Garraway and Robert Rinder welcomed two guests on to have a discussion about whether or not people should thank drivers.

It comes as Rob's close friend, Rylan Clark, started an online debate about ettiquette on the road, with an expletive rant about pedestrians on his social media account. In a now deleted Twitter post, the telly favourite slammed pedestrians who walk across zebra crossings without thanking drivers as 'rude b*****ds'.

The BBC Radio 2 star vented: "I know it's the law and that pedestrians have right of way at zebra crossings... BUT SAY THANK YOU OR POP UR HAND UP. Rude pr**ks... (Stuck in traffic and annoyed)." But after being hit with backlash, the post was seen as "no longer available".

Today, Good Morning Britain discussed whether he was right or wrong in a very fiery debate. Rob was very much all for good manners, while Kate sat opposing him - each with a very much opinonated guest sitting in their corner.

Kate seemed to get confused about which side she was on as she said: "If you're a pedestrian you do feel a bit in battle these days."

She added: "If cyclists and motorists perhaps offered a little more courtesy with a thank you when they've paused or stepped back when they're crossing a road and all that kind of thing, then maybe we would have a little bit more love all around."

Rob looked somewhat perplexed as he said: "You're arguing for him," pointing to the gentleman on her side.

Kate sniped back as she said: "Oh, shut up, you're a trained barrister. I'm doing the best I can," before bursting out laughing.

But fans on social media were less than impressed with the loud exchange. Posting to X/Twitter, one user wrote: " This is the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever watched #gmb," with another adding: "I’m not really watching this ‘debate’ am I? #GMB".

Someone else complained: "@GMB Why is he shouting who against this had to turn the volume down very angry so early in the morning?" With another echoing: "Omg stop yelling man !! #gmb."

A fifth wrote: "Agree to disagree and stop trying to shout over each other #gmb." Another penned: "Turning over bloody Big Brother again what a load of [poo emoji]."
