BBC Breakfast presenter Jon Kay and his co-host Sally Nugent admitted, "it's unlike anything we've seen before" as they shared an update on Kate Middleton's health on the morning show.

Hosts Jon Kay and Sally were back on the famous red sofa on Tuesday (September 10) delivering the latest news headlines. One of the top stories of the day was the Princess of Wales's health and a recent video that was released where she gave the British public information on how she's currently doing.

in the touching video, the princess, who previously confirmed in March that pre-cancerous cells had been found following abdominal surgery, was seen in Norfolk with her three children and her husband William. In the short clip, Kate revealed that she had finished her chemotherapy treatment.

After watching the short video, Jon said: "Gorgeous to see and unlike anything we've ever seen before." Sally also echoed his sentiments.

Sharing more insight on the video which was filmed last month, Sally also mentioned that although Kate found her health battle "scary" and "unpredictable" she will resume some royal duties in the coming months. In the video, the Princess was seen walking through a field with her family and also enjoying a picnic.

In the clip, Kate said: "As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment. The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown."

The mother of three also opened up on the impact it has had on her and the family. She said: "The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you

"This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved."

According to reports, that the princess intends to join other members of the Royal Family at the Cenotaph for Remembrance Sunday in November. Her engagements will be scheduled around whether she feels able to carry them out as she gradually returns to public duties.

In her video update, Kate also thanks the public for their. She said: "Everyone's kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling. To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey - I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright."
