Coronation Street: Paul covers up his latest health scare

Coronation Street has confirmed that Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) will die in a heartbreaking episode that will air on the ITV soap next week. Last year, Paul was diagnosed with motor neurone disease (MND) leaving him devastated.

He kept the truth hidden before confessing his shock diagnosis to Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank) and his family. In recent episodes Paul's health has detrioted rapidly and next week he will tragically die.

The devastating week in Weatherfield starts with a hungover Billy realising he's lost his phone and starts panicking as his mobile contains photos and memories of Paul.

In a bid to recover his device, Billy sets off to retrace his steps. However, at the same time in a cruel twist of fate, Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) and Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) are horrified to discover Paul unresponsive on the sofa, struggling to breathe.

It's not long until Summer calls an ambulance but realising that Billy has left Paul at the worst possible time, with no way of contacting him, Bernie and Summer do everything they can to keep Paul alive. With the odds against him, will Billy make it in time to say his final goodbye to Paul?

Later in the week, spoilers tragically reveal Paul's fate as Billy wakes up on the sofa and stares at Paul’s empty wheelchair, where he is hit with the sad reality that life now goes on without Paul.

Meanwhile, tensions are high between Paul's family as they grieve the loss of him. Can they all come together to plan Paul's funeral?

Across the Cobbles, Alina Pop (Ruxandra Porojnicu) returns and announces she will be leaving for Romania with son Dorin, who she shares with Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall)

In upcoming scenes, Tyrone tells wife Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) that the people traffickers have been arrested, which means his ex Alina has come out of hiding and will be picking up their son Dorin the next day.

Later in the week, Tyrone is upset as he watches Hope and Ruby enthuse about their little brother, knowing that they might not see Dorin again.

However, there's more to worry about when Tyrone opens the backdoor to call Ruby and Dorin in when he's horrified to find the backyard empty. But where are the children?

Meanwhile next week, scheming villain Rowan Cunliffe (played by Emhrys Cooper) is set to be exposed.

Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) tells Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) that he is going to report Rowan to the police for blackmail after The Institute leader threatened the pair over their affair, claiming he would tell brainwashed Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).

Meanwhile, Leanne confides in Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney), who was conned out of £40,000 inhertiance money by Rowan, and tells her that she has emailed herself a load of files on Rowan's computer.

Will Leanne get Amy's cash back from Rowan? Later in the week, Nick calls at the flat with news about Rowan.
