Ruth Langsford opens up about ageing
Ruth Langsford has fired back at an online troll who criticised her for being a "show off" after she posted about her luxurious hair appointment at Claridge's Hotel.
The 64-year-old TV star shared her experience on Instagram, where she mentioned that her usual salon was closed for refurbishment, leading her to visit the high-end location.
But she received backlash from fans as some labelled the TV presenter as a “total show off.”
One wrote: "Totaly show off... sorry."
Another said: "Why can't you go and have your hair done without recording it."
One user commented that Ruth was "lucky" to afford such luxuries, penning: “You are so lucky. Most people could not afford that.” The Loose Women presenter clapped back, firmly responding: “Not luck….I’ve worked hard for everything I have.”
Others chimed in defending the star, saying: “I couldn’t afford this but I would not begrudge someone else who works for this and pays for it we all have the choice” while another commented, “what's that got to do with Ruth? Ruth works very hard and is a great role model for women.”
Despite the backlash, many of Ruth’s followers praised her stylish new look.
Ruth, who recently announced her split from Eamonn Holmes, was seen enjoying a cup of tea while getting her highlights refreshed.
She shared her excitement on social media, posting: "HIGHLIGHTS TIME! @joshwood salon in Notting Hill is being refurbished so I went to see him at his salon in @claridgeshotel Very fancy!! Thank you Josh, Dylan @cheyenne.bleux & @cherylmunozhair for a lovely experience and for all the lols! Feeling lighter & brighter!"
Last week, Ruth made headlines again when it was revealed that she is still wearing her wedding ring months after her split from Eamonn.
The ring was visible as she modelled her clothing range for QVC, during a promotion for her latest collection of trench coats.

According to pals, Ruth is desperate to cut ties with Eamonn after they confirmed their separation in May.
A source told Bella magazine: "Ruth doesn’t want him to feel like he can pop back and forth when he likes to grab bits.
"She wants a clean slate and has even told friends she might change the locks."
The broadcasting veteran has since been spotted out with rumoured girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42.
