The Chase's Bradley Walsh quizzes contestant over comment

The Chase fans slammed Shaun Wallace as they pointed out a major mistake he made. The ITV quiz show returned on Friday (August 30) as four contestants went up against the Dark Destroyer in the hopes of walking away with some money.

Second to take on Shaun was Sally, who admitted she was disappointed with her performance in the cash builder round after answering just two questions correctly.

The 39-year-old was concerned about making it back to her teammates and ultimately decided to take the low offer of £1,000.

During the head-to-head, they were asked: "Larry Hagman said 'I've done some loony shows in my time but this is certainly the one' about appearing on what TV show?"

The options given were Shooting Stars, QI and Naked Attraction." Sally chose Shooting Stars as she believes it's a "crazy show".

This turned out to be the correct answer, however, Shaun picked Naked Attraction. Presenter Bradley Walsh was stunned as he exclaimed: "Naked Attraction? What is the matter with you?"

Explaining his reasoning for picking the racy E4 show, Shuan said: "J. R, he could have been on Naked Attraction," referring to Hagman's Dallas character, J. R Ewing.

Viewers were shocked by Shaun's answer, pointing out on X that Larry Hagman died years before Naked Attraction first aired. One wrote: "Larry Hagman died before Naked Attraction started. I've checked the dates and demand an inquiry..."

A second declared: "Larry hagman died in 2012 Naked attraction started in 2016. Not even close Shaun." Another weighed in: "Larry Hagman on Naked Attraction, are you serious?! Stupid answer."

"Is Shaun on drugs? Naked Attraction started in 2016, Larry Hagman died in 2012...and anyway WTF WOULD JR EWING BE DOING ON THAT SHOW???" penned another fan.

Meanwhile someone else commented: "Larry Hagman on Naked Attraction? Erm..." Sally made it through to the final chase with Neil, who earned £5,000.

The duo were playing to win £6,000 and managed to answer 17 questions correctly. After failing to execute a number of pushbacks, Shaun caught them with 23 seconds remaining.

Although they walked away empty-handed, Shaun said: "That's one of the best dovetailed final chases I've played against an opponent in a long time. I'm not just saying that."
