Loose Women's Linda Robson snaps over romance probe 'I don't want to meet anyone else''

Awkwardness descended on the set of Loose Women as Linda Robson declared "I don't want to meet anyone else" during a chat about the possibility of a holiday romance.

The Birds Of A Feather actress, 65, revealed earlier this year that she had parted ways with her husband of 34 years, Mark Dunford. She explained that the couple had "drifted apart" following their children moving out.

During Thursday's episode, the panel, consisting of Kaye Adams, Denise Welch, Nadia Sawalha, and Linda, delved into the topic of holiday romance scams. Host Kaye highlighted the worrying trend of individuals falling victim to con artists who feign love for financial gain.

However, Linda shocked the panel saying: "I've never had a holiday romance, I've only ever had two partners." Denise replied: "You don't want one though do you," to which Linda simply stated: "No, I don't want one."

Nadia, taken aback, asked: "Not even a kiss at the bar?" But the ITV star retorted: "No I kiss my grandchildren, that'll do me," reports the Mirror.

Former Coronation Street star, Denise, then interjected: "The thing is I know you do not want a long-term partner," only to be interrupted by a giggling Linda: "You bought me a friend, didn't you."

Denise retorted to gasps from the audience: "I bought you a little friend and she's never had it out of the box."

Linda candidly reflected on her sense of isolation after her three children flew the nest, acknowledging that she "would feel sympathetic" to those lured by the false promise of romance in a moment of loneliness.

When Denise pressed further, Linda sharply retorted, "I don't want to meet anyone," abruptly bringing the discussion to a halt.

The beloved TV star has faced her fair share of challenges, recently revealing her battle with alcoholism and OCD which drove her to consider suicide at one point.

Now sober, Linda told OK! magazine that she and former husband Mark simply grew apart. According to her, "We drifted apart. People do, sometimes, don't they? We never had that much in common. I'm very sociable. Mark never enjoyed that side of things."

Despite their separation, Linda spoke warmly of her ex, praising his qualities as a "wonderful dad" and conveying her contentment with how they've both managed post-split.

The TV star opened up: "I've been sad about it, of course I have. But we had two lovely children together. But they're all grown up, living their own lives now. Now, it's me and Dolly the dog. [But] I'm in a really good place. Work is good."
