ITV's popular quiz show, Tipping Point, is set to return with fresh episodes in a prime-time Sunday night slot following complaints from fans about constant repeats.

ITV executives have confirmed that new episodes of the celebrity version of Tipping Point, known as Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, will be aired next month.

Unlike its regular daytime counterpart, Lucky Stars is broadcast during prime time on ITV1. Both versions are hosted by the new This Morning presenter, Ben Shephard, and the new episodes will start airing from Sunday, September 8.

In Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, three celebrities compete against an extraordinary machine in hopes of winning £20,000 for charity. Despite Tipping Point having over 1,700 episodes under its belt, ITV seems to have chosen to re-broadcast the same 20 episodes from series 13, according to The Sun.

Meanwhile, only 19 episodes from series 13, currently being aired regularly, along with one episode from series 14 are available to stream on ITVX, despite the vast back catalogue at ITV's disposal.

The channel has not provided any explanation for why the same episodes are being repeated within weeks of each other or for the limited selection offered on their streaming service.

Launched in 2012, Tipping Point sees three contestants answering general knowledge questions to win counters, which they use on a large coin pusher arcade-style machine in hopes of winning cash prizes, reports the Daily Star.

Meanwhile, Ben joined This Morning as the new co-host earlier this year alongside Cat Deeley. The pair were finally confirmed as regular replacements following the departures last year of long-time hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby.
