Penny Lancaster suggested there are "issues" in her family as she shared her thoughts on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's feud with the royals.

The 53-year-old appeared on Tuesday's instalment (August 27) of Loose Women where the panel discussed whether Harry, 39, and Meghan, 43, could return to the royal family.

The TV personality, who is married to Rod Stewart, argued "life is too short" and begged the couple to make peace with Harry's family. Kicking off the debate, host Christine Lampard began: "Prince Harry's book Spare is due to come out in paperback soon - but publishers confirm there will be no additional updates."

The 45-year-old questioned: "Is he holding out an olive branch to his family? Would you like to see them welcomed back into the royal fold?"

Turning to Penny, the presenter asked: "What do you think - and should they just try to fix it all?" The model responded: "For me, I'm not judging one way or the other - you know, do I like Harry, do I think this or that?"

Drawing on her own experiences, Penny continued: "I'm looking at the broader picture really, just about the family. We all have family issues to bear from time to time. I think it's about possibly being able to mend some of those bridges, especially as there have been so many health scares within the family."

She added: "It would be lovely for them to come back together, life is too short." Issuing a plea to the couple, who stepped down from the royal family in 2020, Penny said: "It would be nice to have some peace there and some healing."

It comes after Rod was forced to cancel his 200th Las Vegas show just hours before he was due on stage, citing health issues. In a heartfelt message to his fans, the legendary musician expressed his regret and apologised for being unable to perform.

The 79-year-old said: "Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me. I'm absolutely gutted. I've been looking forward to this concert for so long. My deepest regrets for any inconvenience this has caused. Thankfully we'll now be returning in 2025 and I hope to see you all there."

Last month, the rock star confessed that he doesn't let the fear of death consume him ahead of his 80th birthday in January. Despite acknowledging that his "days are numbered," Rod is determined to live his remaining years to the fullest.
