Love Is Blind UK Official Teaser
Streaming giant Netflix announced seven big commissions at the Edinburgh TV Festiva today (Wednesday, August 21). The new shows include five non-fiction titles, including a Victoria Beckham documentary, and two scripted series.
As well as the new series about Posh Spice, Netflix viewers can also look forward to the factual shows: Being Gordon Ramsay, Take That, 7/7: Hunting the London Bombers and Matchroom: The Greatest Showmen (w/t). Meanwhile, How to Kill Your Family and Legends have been announced as the streamer’s two new scripted series.
Additionally, Netflix announced Season 2 of Keira Knightley and Ben Whishaw’s upcoming spy thriller Black Doves, as well as a second series for the immensely popular reality show, Love is Blind: UK.
Netflix said of their new Victoria Beckham Docu-series: “Netflix is to begin production on a documentary series following Victoria Beckham and her fashion and beauty business. Through an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at Victoria’s business, access to Victoria, her family, those closest to her and her fashion journey and including never-before-seen archive, the series will tell the story of Victoria’s reinvention as a Creative Director of her own brand.”
Meanwhile, Being Gordon Ramsey will follow the life of multi Michelin-starred British chef Gordon Ramsay. Netflix has said: “The series will follow Gordon Ramsay over 9 months in the lead up to his biggest restaurant venture to date: the opening of 5 culinary experiences in London’s 22 Bishopsgate, the City of London’s tallest building. The series will have exclusive access to the Ramsay family, as Gordon balances other work commitments and life as a husband and father, with wife Tana and their 6 children.”

Bound to be popular with fans of the boy band, Take That will be “the story of one of the greatest boy bands in UK history.”
Netflix’s description reads: “For more than 30 years, they have brought us hit after hit, 12 of which became UK number ones. With access to Gary Barlow, Howard Donald and Mark Owen and featuring interviews with Jason Orange and Robbie Williams, this series will give unprecedented insight into one of the most successful and well-loved British bands.”
7/7: Hunting The London Bombers also looks to be extremely gripping, as it uncovers the story of “one of the most devastating terror attacks on British soil - and the three weeks of panic, paranoia, and manhunts that changed Britain.”
Meanwhile, for sports fans, Matchroom: The Greatest Showmen has been described as “a documentary series which will get up close and personal with one of the biggest sports promoters in the world”.
On the fiction side of things, Netflix’s How To Kill Your Family, which is based on Bella Mackie’s best-selling novel of the same name, will see Anya Taylor Joy star as murderous Grace Bernard.
Legends has been described as “a six-part high-stakes, thrilling drama series inspired by one of the most remarkable criminal investigations ever conducted”.
The show comes from BAFTA-winning writer Neil Forsyth (The Gold, Guilt) and follows “an unlikely group of British customs employees sent undercover to infiltrate some of the country’s most dangerous criminal drug gangs”.
