Corrie: Craig and Kit talk about ice hockey
Coronation Street viewers are speculating that an illicit romance could be brewing between Kit Green and an unexpected resident of Weatherfield.
The corrupt police officer (played by Jacob Roberts) made his debut on the cobbles this year as Bernie's (Jane Hazlegrove) long-lost son. Bernie, a fan favourite, gave up Christopher 'Kit' Green for adoption nearly three decades ago.
A few months back, she finally managed to locate him. Meanwhile, Bernie's twins Gemma (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul (Peter Ash) were shocked to discover they had another sibling.
Moreover, Kit played a crucial role in ensuring Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper), a vile character, was jailed for the murder of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). Kit planted Lauren's DNA in paedophile Nathan's van, framing him for the crime.
Since then, Kit has become a familiar face on the cobbles - recently moving into the iconic pub, Rovers Return, taking over Glenda Shuttleworth's (Jodie Prenger) former room. He also seemed to have a disagreement with barmaid Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) after initially showing interest in her, reports the Manchester Evening News.
However, upon realising she is in a relationship with Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott), Kit stepped back. Viewers will remember that Daisy and Ryan reignited their relationship after Ryan returned to Weatherfield earlier this year.
Despite the tension between Daisy and Kit, this hasn't prevented a friendship from forming between Ryan and Kit. Last week, the duo bonded over their shared passion for music and fitness, with Ryan admiring Kit and his impressive vinyl collection.
During the episode on Monday (August 19), Ryan chose to spend his evening with Kit, leaving his girlfriend Daisy feeling snubbed as she had taken time off work.
Amidst a flurry of speculation from Corrie fans, some believe an affair might brew between Daisy and Kit, however, in a potential twist, others are predicting romance could spark between Kit and Ryan instead.
An eager fan took to a Coronation Street Facebook group to speculate: "I can see an affair with Kit and Ryan." Another chimed in saying: "I think that too, we don't know Kit's sexuality do we? He could be bisexual."
Another fan concurred: "That's true, I think Kit fancies Ryan," while yet another confidently declared: "I'm telling you - watch this space! Kit and Ryan."
