Only Connect: Nicki Minaj and Cardi B feature in question
Victoria Coren Mitchell generated amusement among Only Connect fans due to her unfortunate diction when it came to Nicki Minaj. The Super Freaky Girl singer was the subject of a question on the popular BBC quiz show.
The team were given four options and had to figure out what connected them. They were Four Dublin Men and Tony Blair, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj, Random Task and Austin Powers and Munthadar al-Zaidi and George W Bush.
The team correctly guessed that all had been involved in incidents in which shoes were thrown. While they recounted three out of the four they were stumped as to the details of Nicki and Cardi's encounter.
Victoria obliged by explaining what had happened between the women. "It was a party, and Cardi B said later on Instagram that Nicki Minaj said that she was a bad mother, which she immediately disproved by throwing a shoe at her in public," the presenter quipped.
"But then Nicki Minaj said she hadn't said that at all. Apparently it was a red platform heel by Ellie Saab. I know you were waiting for that detail, and I've been able to deliver it," she said dryly.

It wasn't just Victoria's pronunciation causing consternation. Viewers also took umbrage at the way the contestants articulated the word "horned" during another question.
