Vernon Kay responds to viewers saying same thing about himself and Emma Willis

Viewers were quick to spot a certain likeness between presenters Vernon Kay and Emma Willis as they tuned in for the Team GB Olympics' homecoming party last night (Sunday, August 18).

Post-show messages flooded social media regarding the pair's matching looks, with Vernon addressing the buzz this morning during his radio show on BBC Radio 2. He said: "A lot of people commented, Emma and I have the same haircut. It wasn't intentional. I just swept it back."

Even Vernon's mother had her say on the matter, offering her televised tidbits: "After anything I do on telly I get a phone call from Gladys (his mum). 'Need your hair cut love, but apart from that you were brilliant.'"

Vernon humorously conceded to his mum's hair styling tips with a light-hearted 'alright, I'll do it', indicating he may just submit to the maternal advice.

He continued: "The celebration was in your honour, and boy did you take advantage, that's all I'm saying. We'll leave that there, we'll park that party bus well and truly, in a garage and bring it out in four years time for LA," reports the Manchester Evening News.

With comedic relief, Vernon added: "Thank goodness for paracetamol," hinting that the post-party effects lingered into his broadcasting duties.
