Lorraine: Ranvir forced to apologise to guest after blunder
Ranvir Singh, who is a familiar face on Good Morning Britain, was at the helm of ITV's Lorraine on Monday (August 19) when she made an on-air mishap.
The seasoned presenter, often seen filling in for Lorraine Kelly during the holiday periods, was joined by Celebrity Big Brother's Bradley Riches and was eager to get the scoop on his recent engagement news.
Bradley, known for his stint on reality TV, had announced back in April that he and his long-time partner Scott Johnston were ready to take their relationship to the next level.
In a heartwarming segment, Ranvir congratulated him: "I have to say, congratulations on your engagement, which is absolutely gorgeous, just tell us a bit about Charlie and how you got engaged."
However, Bradley quickly set the record straight with a sharp correction: "Scott," prompting an apologetic response from Ranvir as she stumbled over her words, reports the Mirror.

Despite the mix-up, Bradley saw the humour in the situation, chuckling and quipping: "I was about to say who's this mystery man?"
Ranvir brushed off the blunder with a light-hearted comment to the viewers: "Yes exactly, there's no scoop here by the way," before they continued their chat about his romantic proposal.
Bradley then delved into the story of his proposal, sharing: "Scott, he's in the theatre world, we met at drama school and we just kept building this relationship."
He further stated: "I trust him a lot and he asked me and I was like 'yeah, why not'."
"Did you know he was going to ask you?" inquired Ranvir. "Well this is the thing, we said if I won Celebrity Big Brother, I was like 'propose to me' to make it a really good year. I didn't win obviously but he still did it," the actor admitted.
Bradley Riches is most recognised for his role as James McEwan in the popular Netflix teen series Heartstopper. In March 2024, he elevated his career by appearing on the 23rd series of Celebrity Big Brother, sharing the screen with Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.
Lorraine airs weekdays on ITV, from 9am.
