GMB: Ranvir interrupts Adil as he discusses Meghan and Harry

Adil Ray and Ranvir Singh fronted Good Morning Britain on Friday's ITV morning show edition, and when talking, they turned to the Sussexes' latest trip.

The ITV presenter's colleague Sean Fletcher delivered the news bulletin, briefly touching on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's four-day visit to the South American country.

He explained: "The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have begun a four-day trip to Colombia. They visited a school in the capital of Bogota and attended a folk dance show.

"They were invited by the South American countries Vice President, who said, 'she had been moved by their Netflix documentary."

Sean went on: "Of course, they don't have their security paid for in the UK but you presume they did in Colombia which means are they safer in Colombia than they are here?"

Earlier on the programme the news correspondent issued the same claim, as he said: "It's not been revealed how their security has been funded, but of course Adil and Ranvir they don't get their security paid for in the UK."

Sean explained further: "If it's paid for in Colombia - which we presume it is - I wonder if it is safer for them to go to Colombia than come to the UK?"

Ranvir agreed: "That's the implication isn't it. It's also one of those things where its not a royal tour but it looks like one and it smells like one. So what exactly is it?

"It's an interesting one that, isn't it?"

Adil commented: "They are royals in their own way."

"Well, yeah, they still have their titles," Ranvir swiftly interrupted. "The Duke and Duchess but it actually shows what weight that carries around the world beyond our borders. That's actually a big, big title..."

GMB host Adil interrupted his co-star as he began discussing the football, and thanked Sean for his royal coverage.

Harry and Meghan arrived in the country’s capital of Bogotá on Thursday and were accompanied by “14 car and police van convoys”, it has been reported.

A representative for the couple has since confirmed that they have“full security” on the trip but did not clarify how it was being funded.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am
