Love Is Blind UK has landed and fans want to know - are the weddings in the final episodes actually legally binding? Presenters and husband-and-wife duo Emma and Matt Willis are fronting the first-ever UK version of the hit American Netflix dating show.
Singletons put their faith in the process, spending a number of days entering the “blind pods” where they would get to know their potential future partners without ever seeing them.
If they feel the spark, the couples get engaged, only coming face-to-face when they leave the pods, before venturing off to a honeymoon retreat.
The couples then move in together for three weeks when it’s time for their wedding days but the big question is, will they say 'I do' or 'I don’t'?
Are the weddings on Love is Blind UK real?
Some of the most dramatic moments in Love Is Blind come from the wedding days, so it’s no wonder that fans cannot wait for the final lot of episodes.
But these lavish ceremonies are not just for the show, as some might believe, as Netflix has confirmed that the weddings in Love Is Blind UK are actually legally binding.
So the couples really have got to think about whether or not they can see spending the rest of their lives with their partner before exchanging rings.
Series producer Chris Coelen confirmed this was the case for the American version of the dating show back in 2020 to Bustle, stating: "If they choose to get married, yes, it's a legally binding marriage."
The first nine episodes of Love Is Blind UK have already come out on Netflix, with episodes one to four on Wednesday, August 7, and instalments five to nine on Wednesday, August 19.
There are just two more episodes left to get excited about with the penultimate and big finale released next week on Wednesday, August 21.
But only time will tell if any of the six couples are ready to make the commitment.
