The Yorkshire Vet fans love finding out all they can about beloved farmers Mr and Mrs Green but what is the age gap between the married duo?
Following their success on Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet as regular clients of vet Peter Wright, Mr and Mrs Green have now got their own spin-off show.
The mini-series sees two of Britain’s oldest farmers look for new methods in order to keep their farm afloat, moving away from some of their traditional ways.
As well as their day-to-day activities around the farm, viewers are eager to know all there is about the couple themselves.
What is the age gap between Mr and Mrs Green from The Yorkshire Vet?
Steve has spent most of his life working in the great outdoors and is believed to be the country’s oldest farmer at 95 years old.
He has previously said that the work “keeps me young” so it doesn’t sound like he’ll be slowing down any time soon.
Steve is helped out by his wife Jean who is 72 years old and is often sporting baggy T-shirts with slogans.
This means that there is a substantial 23-year age gap between Mr and Mrs Green, having initially met more than 40 years ago.
At the time, Jean was just 27 and crossed paths with her future husband after he had employed her brother.
Just three months after meeting one another, Steve and Jean decided to get married and went on to welcome their daughter Sarah.
She sometimes appears on The Yorkshire Vet, although she prefers to stay out of the limelight for the most part.
When Steve and Jean had their marriage renewal filmed for the series four years ago, Jean told her other half: “When I set eyes on you it was such a magical moment. I will love you forever.”
