Loose Women: Denise talks about her accent and shares throwback clip
Janet Street-Porter, a mainstay on Loose Women, made an audacious confession on the popular ITV show, candidly owning up to her desire of having cheated on a former partner.
Joining the daytime programme on Monday alongside co-stars Judi Love, Denise Welch and Sunetra Sarker, the 77-year-old shared insights into her past relationships as they discussed the appropriateness of taking breaks within partnerships.
She confessed: "Like I've said many times, I've always been the one to behave badly and got found out. And then I was offered the chance to make a fresh start, by the other person very generously saying they'll take me back and we can work at it again and I've always said 'no thanks', because quite frankly..."
The conversation took a new turn when her colleague Denise interrupted to declare, "You wanted to cheat on them in the first place!"
Janet agreed, stating: "Yes I wanted to cheat and you know there's no going back, so I never go back."
Reflecting on a time she was caught red-handed, she narrated how her partner discovered her rendezvous with another man. Janet confessed: "I was meeting my secret lover in a restaurant but unfortunately I told my husband I was working the weekend up North," reports the Mirror.
Concluding her tale, she added: "And I went in and there was my boyfriend waiting at the bar and I rushed in swung my arms around his neck and as I looked over his shoulder I saw my husband."
The studio audience reacted with disbelief to Janet's revelations, yet some viewers at home remained unimpressed.

A viewer injected some controversy, saying, "Why do the panel and audience all laugh when #Janet talks about all the times she's cheated on her husbands/partners. If this was a man doing this, there would be uproar. I'm saying this as a woman. Double standards."
Another frustrated viewer added, "We've heard all these stories umpteen times before."
This was coupled with an accompanying gif of a man repeatedly tapping his forehead with a small hammer.
Currently, Janet is in a committed relationship with Peter Spanton. However, she has had a past filled with multiple marriages, having been wedged four times before.
In a frank admission to The Guardian, she said: "I've been married four times and lived with a lot of blokes I know how men's minds work. What have all the men I've been with got in common? They're all pathetically grateful,".
