LW: Strictly star opens up about his co-star's death

Former Strictly Come Dancing sensation Pasha Kovalev was visibly moved as he opened up about the loss of his fellow dancer and pal, Robin Windsor.

Gracing the set of ITV's Loose Women on Thursday afternoon (July 25), Pasha engaged in an emotional chat with panellists Kaye Adams, Judi Love, Penny Lancaster, and Sunetra Sarker, discussing his latest venture. At 44, Pasha is collaborating with the Strictly Theatre Co to bring to life a stage tribute titled 'Robin Windsor - The Final Act', a homage to the late Robin who sadly passed away in February.

The tribute show, which will be hosted by Emmerdale's Lisa Riley and Strictly legend Anton Du Beke, is set to dazzle audiences with a spectacular dance showcase this November. During his appearance on Loose Women, Pasha candidly expressed his sorrow and regrets over Robin's untimely death.

Reflecting on their shared moments, Pasha confessed: "We did a lot of dances together, a lot of projects together, shared a stage a million of times. Unfortunately, the news of his passing came as a shock to me- to all of his friends."

He continued, grappling with the weight of the loss: "When you hear about something like that, as a friend you start thinking immediately, could have done something more. Could have been there just for extra time, seeing him, talking to me him, send an extra message and basically because of that my first instinct was that I wanted to cherish the time we had together with Robin", reports the Mirror.

"I would like to one more time get all the friends together. Speak about him, remember how happy he was in his good days and go over the things he loved," he explained.

The tragic passing of Robin was first made public by the dance company he co-founded, Burn the Floor. The globally renowned ballroom show released a heartfelt statement on Facebook: "The BTF family has lost one of its founding members, Robin 'Bobby' Windsor who has tragically passed away.

"A BTF journeyman, he danced with us for 20 years including Broadway, the West End and all our crazy adventures around the world. His talent, attitude, energy and personality helped create the Burn the Floor stage reputation. He leaves a void in our hearts that will never be filled, yet our wonderful memories will stay forever."
