Coleen Nolan confirms Penny Lancaster is returning to Loose Women
Loose Women fan-favourite Penny Lancaster is returning back to the ITV panel show this week. Host Coleen Nolan confirmed that the TV star will be making her comeback on Thursday afternoon.
As she wrapped up the mid-week show, the panellist said: "That's it for today everyone, join us tomorrow, Penny Lancaster returns to the panel and former Strictly pro Pasha Kovalev joins us to remember his friend and fellow dancer Robin Windsor."
Penny first made her debut on the ITV daytime show back in 2014 and quickly became a regular panellist. However, over the past few years, viewers have seen the star feature less and less on the programme due to other commitments.
Speaking about her taking various absences from the show, an insider told Daily Mail: “It is obvious that Penny is no longer a regular panellist. This is purely due to other professional and personal commitments.
"Penny loves the show; and LW loves Penny. But such appearances as she is able to make in the future will be as a guest."
The last time the model appeared on the programme was at the very beginning of the year when she detailed becoming a special police constable
Despite her lengthy absence, the 53-year-old has been keeping herself busy as she recently shared on Instagram that she’s been away.

Posing in a big group photo, the ITV star was seen leaning on a chair alongside her husband Rod Stewart and other members of her family.
She captioned the post: “Another amazing family holiday together (a few were sadly missed) in the med. Bonding, healing, love and laughter.”
Penny isn’t the only Loose Woman star to make their return to the panel this week either as another popular star was back at the helm.
As the show kicked off on Monday, viewers saw Ruth Langsford resume her role as one of the leading presenters on the programme.
The star seemed to take a lengthy absence from her time on the ITV show after news of her separation from her husband of 14 years, Eamonn Holmes.
Thrilled Ruth was back, Coleen halted the programme as she said: “Can I just say? I am so happy that you're back!”
Loose Women continues weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm
