ITV The Chase's Jenny Ryan issues complaint minutes after guest wins massive jackpot

Jenny Ryan complained after she was defeated by two contestants during an episode on The Chase. The quizzer was pipped at the last second during a nerve-wrecking finale, leaving two contestants walking away with £35,000.

During the final Chase segment, Mark and James were the final two contestants up against The Vixen [Jenny] and had to answer as many questions correctly within a one minute and 30 seconds.

They amassed 22 questions, which Jenny applauded them for. Host Bradley Walsh then started with The Chaser, however, the first question stumped Jenny and she guessed it wrong.

Working together, Mark and James managed to guess it correctly and push Jenny back one space. This proved to be fundamental in the long run as the pair defeated Jenny who answered 21 questions in the time-frame.

Bradley Walsh was delighted for both of them, however, Jenny complained within seconds and said that she shouldn't have got the first question wrong.

She moaned that the first question was a "flip of the coin decision" for her and that it cost her the game. However, she did congratulate the pair on their huge win.

Fans were over the moon with the win and took to social media to voice their reaction. One person said: "Great performance from the two guys on todays #thechase Well deserved win."

A second person commented: "Well done, James and Mark, and enjoy the divided £17.5K prize money. Saluted. Xx."

A third person said: "Well done James and Mark!!! The Vixen and Anne are the hard chasers to beat!! #TheChase." However, one person noted Jenny's complaint and said: "Jenny never means to take away from the winners but somehow always tries."

Another person also noticed this and commented on X: "She can never fully compliment a win without adding in a technicality can she? #TheChase."

The Chase airs on ITV and ITVX at 5pm on weekdays.
