Netflix has announced that a limited series called Senna, about one of the world's greatest motor racing icons, will be released on November 29. Over the course of the six episodes, fans will get to see the life of Ayrton Senna, as he navigates his journey through triumphs, disappointments, joys and sorrow through both his personal and professional relationships.
Playing the titular character will be actor Gabriel Leone, who was featured on the first-look poster by Netflix, as he was seen on the racetrack with his trademark green and yellow helmet. The fictional series will begin at the start of the three-time Formula 1 champion's motor racing career, from his early career kart years to when he leaves home to go to England to compete in Formula Ford.
Viewers will also get to see his tragic accident in Imola, Italy, during the San Marino Grand Prix. The limited series will also feature important figures from the driver's life, including Alain Prost (Matt Mella), Galvao Bueno (Gabriel Louchard) and Xuxa (Pamela Tome).
The cast will also include Alice Wegmann as Ayrton's first wife Lilian, Camila Mardila as his sister Vivienne and Christian Malheiros as Ayrton's driver friend. Senna will be directed by Vicente Amorim and Julia Rezende and produced by Gulanne.
Netflix shared the first look poster on Instagram and captioned the post: "His career transformed the sport. His legacy inspired the world. Senna, the story of one of the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all time, premieres 29 November."

Fans flocked to the comments section to share their views as one person excitedly said: "So hyped!!! Cannot wait for this."
Another eager fan commented: "Our national hero. I simply cannot wait. Preparing all my tissues."
Somebody else penned: "Super hyped for this!!," while a fourth person said: "I cannot wait!"
The Brazilian sports star, 34, is considered by many to be the fastest F1 driver of all time.

He has won three F1 world titles with 41 victories, 65 pole positions and 80 podiums in a ten year run between 1984 and 1994.
What set Senna apart from his competitors was his sheer determination both on and off the track.
His incredible legacy inspired the founding of the Ayrton Senna Institute and for the last 28 years, he has dedicated his life to helping others around them.
Senna debuts on Netflix on 29 November.
