Ranvir Singh and Richard Madeley present Good Morning Britain

Good Morning Britain's Ranvir Singh was inundated with delightful messages from viewers who were blown away with her fresh look, despite some eagle-eyed fans pointing out a small detail.

The 44-year-old presenter spearheaded the beloved ITV breakfast show alongside colleague Richard Madeley while Susanna Reid enjoys some much-deserved time off. As GMB continues to rotate its stack of hosts, the viewers' attention was drawn by a noticeable change in Ranvir's appearance.

Renowned for her polished locks, Ranvir tried something different this time - a floppy fringe. The novelty was a hit among most fans, but a faction contended that it was rather lengthy and needed a trim.

One admirer shared on Twitter: "Ranvir reminding us how brilliant she is charming, brainy and mega gorgeous respect#gmb."

Another chimed in: "Ranvir looks stunning!! I'm living for the fringe," reports the Mirror. (sic)

However, another viewer asked: "Please get Ranvir's fringe out of her eyes! #GMB."

The same viewer further noted: "Isn't Ranvir's fringe irritating her eyes? Because it's chuffing annoying the 'eck out of me! #GMB."(sic).

Elsewhere, the programme eventually veered towards a discussion about Strictly Come Dancing. Ranvir and Richard spoke with entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold about the recent decision to include the production team in all coming rehearsals, following complaints about two former pro dancers' conduct during practice sessions.

Ranvir brought to light the latest Strictly Come Dancing controversy, informing viewers: "Celebrity contestants will no longer be left on their own with professional dance partners after allegations of wrongdoing behind the scenes."

The show's professional dancers Giovanni Pernice and Graziano Di Prima have been dropped from the upcoming series of the BBC's beloved dance competition amid accusations of "gross misconduct".

Zara McDermott, who danced with Graziano, expressed her distress earlier on Tuesday about certain events that transpired in the Strictly training room. She found revisiting these moments "incredibly distressing".

In a heartfelt statement, Zara addressed her followers, saying: "I felt it was right that I post something regarding the recent media reports. Strictly is one of the most magical shows on TV and one that I dreamt of being on since I was a little girl."

She continued to share her enthusiasm for the show, stating: "When I was invited to be a contestant on the show it really was a childhood dream come true. I fully understood the level of commitment and hard work that Strictly was going to be and I dedicated everything to it.

"I am a resilient person and I was fully prepared to put in whatever it took. And so much of my Strictly experience was everything I could have dreamt of. The entire production team and everyone behind the scenes as well as my fellow contestants were so amazing to work with. However, my experience inside the training room was very different."

"Reports have been made about my treatment on the show and there were witnesses to some events, as well as videos of particular incidents which are incredibly distressing to watch.

"I have wrestled with the fear of opening up- I was scared about public backlash, I was scared about my future, I was scared of victim shaming."

The former Love Island star stated: "But after a lot of conversations with those I love, I've gained the strength to face these fears, and when I was asked to speak to the BBC, I spoke candidly about my time on the show. The culture within our society makes it difficult for people to speak up, especially in a world where social media opinions and voices are so loud. This is something I've seen through working with countless women on my documentaries."

"I would like to thank the BBC and BBC Studios for their swift action and incredibly high level of support, as well as everyone who has reached out to me - it really truly means a lot. Love, always. Zara."

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
