GMB host Richard Madeley shuts down Kate Garraway as she begs him to strip off

Good Morning Britain star Richard Madeley found himself at the centre of an unexpected comparison this week, as his colleagues drew parallels between him and none other than Daniel Craig's rendition of James Bond.

The uncanny resemblance was highlighted following a new casual photoshoot of Daniel Craig, where he sported longer hair with a side-parting, donned in colourful trousers, black trainers, and a light blue button-up shirt.

The GMB team couldn't help but notice how similar the 007 icon looked to their very own Richard Madeley. Ranvir Singh couldn't resist commenting on the likeness: "Some here think he looks like a certain Good Morning Britain presenter. The name's Madeley Richard Madeley."

Kate Garraway was quick to concur with an enthusiastic "Ooh!"

However, Richard Madeley wasn't having any of it, expressing his disbelief: "Oh, come on! I'm nothing like him. I'm 12 years older than him and I look nothing like him. We've got a parting on the same side, that's it!" Despite his protests, Kate Garraway encouraged him to "Take the win Richard!"

The banter escalated when Kate Garraway playfully suggested: "I think we need you to emerge from the sea in blue shorts," to which a clearly unamused Richard retorted: "No, we don't need that at all!" Ranvir Singh chimed in with a tease: "Kate, you spoke for the nation there, clearly!" reports the Mirror.

Undeterred by Richard's reluctance, Kate Garraway persisted: "Then we'll do a direct comparison! " Richard, folding his arms in defiance, responded: "Let me show you my birth certificate and then you'll say, 'You know what, that's not a good idea'."

Kate continued to push the idea, much to Richard's chagrin: "No, rubbish! Your legions of fans demand it."

However, the reaction from X the platform formerly known as Twitter was more one of confusion than excitement.

One social media savvy individual was quite taken aback, remarking: "This has to be AI!" and another netizen chimed in with: "Not two of them!" Meanwhile, a third user quipped: "Madeley? More like Alan Partridge."

Another commenter observed: "Daniel Craig looks more like Alan Rickman or Gerard Depardieu."

Hollywood's Daniel Craig became the centre of attention for being "unrecognisable" in his latest snapshots. He was captured sporting a cable-knit jumper and khaki trousers, topped off with vibrant yellow sunglasses, which contrasted dramatically with his freshly grown-out hair.

Craig wasn't shy about making some playful expressions while striking poses for Loewe's new campaign.

The actor, aged 56, was photographed modelling for Loewe's FW24 collection and appeared completely distinct from the iconic spy character he's well-known for. Fans expressed their excitement over his transformed appearance, with one commentating: "Seriously Daniel Craig keeps getting dangerously hotter."

Whilst another enthused: "The hair is slaying me! And the clothes as well of course."
