Grey's Anatomy has cemented itself as one of the most successful medical drama series on television and now fans of the genre have a new show to binge watch next year.
Netflix have announced they are in production for a brand new six-part documentary series following Britain's most elite trauma medics as they work hard to save lives in the UK's biggest city. The show has been titled Critical and will launch globally on the streaming platform in 2025.
A sypnosis for the show reads: "Filmed across London’s major trauma hospitals, ambulance service rapid response teams and heli-medic teams, the documentary series will be an access-all-areas look at this non-stop job, embedding with paramedics, doctors, nurses and surgeons.
"Through these extraordinary clinicians, viewers will meet the patients and loved ones whose lives have been turned upside down in an instant, follow the critical decisions on which their lives depend, and witness the dedication and skill that brings them back from the brink of catastrophe - every single day."
The eye-opening series will be directed by Jermaine Blake and produced by Andrew Fitzpatrick and Mahi Iftikhar.
The 21st series of Grey's Anatomy will air in September as fans have been eagerly anticipating the newest season.

The ABC drama, which centres around the lives of medical practitioners at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, has been airing since 2005.
Star of the show, Ellen Pompeo has featured in all 20 series to date and she is set to reprise her role as Dr Meredith Grey for the upcoming instalment.
She took a break recently and decided to take a step back from the hospital drama as her character Meredith was in a coma and then decided to move to Boston half way through season 19.
Despite her character finding happiness with Nick Marsh (played by Scott Speedman), she continued to serve as the narrator and appeared in five episodes in season 20.

TVLine confirmed that Ellen will appear in at least seven episodes next season and is to set to have a larger presence on the show than previous series.
Season 20 was shortened to 10 episodes due to the Hollywood actors and writers' strike, meaning Ellen still appeared in half the series.
The show catapulted Ellen's career to new heights with the programme allowing her to be one of the top five highest-earning television actors in 2013.
Critical will stream on Netflix in 2025. Grey’s Anatomy premieres Thursday, September 26 on ABC in the USA and is available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.
