Below Deck Mediterranean season eight teased by Bravo

Below Deck Med welcomed Gigi Fernandez on board superyacht Purpose but who is the season nine charter guest?
The Bravo and Hayu reality show’s third episode Drifting Standards proved to be a particularly stressful one for chef Jono Shillingford who had to put out all the stops for Gigi and her well travelled guests.
However, the 60-year-old and some of his crew mates were disappointed when not only did Jono decide to serve chicken but a deconstructed sponge cake to follow.
He didn’t make up for his lack of imagination either with the breakfast as Fernandez told Captain Sandy Yawn that the “eggs were cold”.
She whispered: "These people don't want to complain, but I mean, last night's dinner ... chef's choice and this is what you give us?
“And when you call something deconstructed, it just means it didn't work out. It was not good.
“And then lunch had some spice I couldn't place, it was completely overbearing. But I have a high standard."

Who is Below Deck Med charter guest Gigi Fernandez?
Below Deck Med star Gigi Fernandez is a Puerto Rican former tennis player who Captain Sandy Yawn is personally friends with away from the Bravo show.
Introducing Fernandez on the show, she said in the confessional: "Gigi Fernandez is a 17-time grand slam doubles champion.
"Two different times she won the gold in the Olympics [representing the United States].
“I actually had her as a charter client and we became friends after that. I had a great charter with them, and now they're coming back."
She added that the last charter where Fernandez was a guest, the chef created a seven-course experience for every meal with Yawn adding that her friend’s “expectations are high”.

Fernandez reached the singles ranking of world No. 17 in 1991 but was No.1 in the world for ranking doubles along with Natasha Zvereva.
Together, they won 14 out of Fernandez’’s 17 Grand Slam titles and are considered as the second most successful doubles pair in the Open era after Martina Navratilova and Pam Shriver.
Fernandez retired from playing professionally in 1997 and just two years later, was named as Puerto Rico’s “Female Athlete of the Country”.
On July 12, 2010, she was inducted in the International Tennis Hall of Fame alongside Zvereva.

Fernandez and her guests are expected to return for the fourth outing of Below Deck Med season nine but will Jono be able to make up for his shortcomings?
