Corrie: Hope Dobbs reveals she's found a necklace

Eagle-eyed Coronation Street fans quickly spotted that troubled child, Hope Dobbs, played by Isabella Flanagan, had swiped a sparkly necklace at the start of today's episode. Showing off the jewellery to her half-sister Ruby (played by Macy Alabi) lands her in hot water, as the comparatively innocent child demands that she does the right thing.

Hope crows: "Finders keepers!", but her sister has a different plan in mind, shooting back: "No, finders handers inners!" Although Hope suggests her sibling might be "jealous", she sets her straight, telling her: "No, I just don't keep things that aren't mine. You're going to tell Dad and if you don't, I'm going to!"

Those who've been following the soap carefully took to Twitter to exclaim excitedly that Hope's precious piece of jewellery, found at the car wash, belongs to Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton). She hasn't been sighted on the cobbles for a long time and Roy Cropper (David Neilson) is currently behind bars on suspicion of her murder.

However, few on the street believe that the kind-hearted Roy's Rolls owner could really have murderous tendencies - and, as the end draws near, tension is starting to build. Will Hope hand in the necklace - and could it hold a clue about Lauren's disappearance and who is responsible for it?

"And we now see Lauren’s necklace!" one fan wrote on Twitter. Another chimed in: "Hope has Lauren’s necklace that she stole from one of the cars", adding a shocked face emoji.

"Of course it's Hope who found it! #Corrie," a third exclaimed.

Meanwhile, as fans ponder whose car it might have been found on, there's another drama surrounding a vehicle as Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) is arrested over contents found in his van.

Last night, viewers spotted what they saw as sizzling chemistry between Sarah Platt (Tina O'Brien) and policeman Kit Green (former Hollyoaks actor Jacob Roberts), who's made it his mission to take Sarah's anguished complaints about Nathan seriously.

Marching up to his van, he warns him he has "reason to suspect" that his van contains drugs, adding: "I need to check it with or without your cooperation."

It's not narcotics he ends up spotting, but a secret stash of USB drives, which are against the terms of his release from prison after serving time for raping and grooming Sarah's daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon).

Informing he has breached a Sexual Harm Prevention Order by possessing the drives, Kit quickly has him arrested.

Meanwhile, another arrest has been made too, as Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) stands accused of perverting the course of justice.

Viewers learn that Roy has made a complaint that his former close pal Carla Connor (Alison King) had "made Bobby lie" about seeing a suspect in order to clear Roy's name.

With two arrests stacked up in a matter of seconds and viewers still no clearer as to who Lauren's murderer is, fans will have to tune into tomorrow's episode as the story continues to unfold.

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV at 8pm.
