The Repair Shop fans air concern as expert 'missing' from new series announcement

The Repair Shop: Guests emotional as they share sad story

The Repair Shop fans have splashed the latest update with their concern after spotting that one of their TV favourite's had been missing.

Viewers in their masses flooded the comments section, all asking the very same thing - "Where is Steve?" They are referring to beloved expert Steve Fletcher who was not shown on the latest advertisement for the new series.

The 61-year-old horologist has been a member of the BBC clan since 2017, working his magic treasured time pieces, week on week, impressing guests and viewers with his incredible clock-repairing skills.

However, much to fans disappointment the watch and clock specialist who works from his West Sussex barn, doesn't appear to be part of the lineup for the latest installment which is due to go live next week - August 14.

After spotting the latest post from the programme on their official Instagram post, fans were desperate for an update.

"Brand new #therepairshop starts on 14th August on BBC One & iPlayer." While many were full of cheer over the new series landing soon, others were more concerned over Steve's whereabouts.

One comment read: Currently getting episodes on YouTube but I'll watch in whatever manner I can. I love this programme. Also where is Steve?" Another echoed: "Love this show. Missing Steve in the photo!

A third concerned The Repair Shop goer demanded: "Where the hell is Steve at?"A fourth even tagged Steve himself, requesting for an update, writing: "Where's @stevefletcher.clocks?," along with a crying face emoji.

It is clear that Steve offers a first-class service, having earned a qualification from a British Horological Institute college course back in 1973. His experience with timepieces is evidently second to none.

Back in 2020, his son Fred, joined the clockmaker in his workshop as an apprentice, readying to take over the family business some day. He did this while also studying science and engineering at college.

It wasn't until 2022, that Fred's watchmaker son appeared alongside him as a skilled clock restorer on The Repair Shop with the two join forces to fix up the biggest time piece of all time. But with neither of them in the first look poster, it's a wonder if they'll make an appearance or not.
