Coronation Street Dee-Dee 'set for affair' with surprise co-star - and Joel won't be happy
A surprising affair could be brewing on the cobbles of Coronation Street between Dee-Dee Bailey and another resident.
Dee-Dee, played by Channique Sterling-Brown, has quickly become a fan favourite since her debut in 2022. However, she remains unaware that her fiance Joel Deering, portrayed by Calum Lill, is leading a double life.
Joel, who initially appeared as a good guy, has revealed his dark side recently. It was disclosed that he was responsible for the disappearance of Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton).
He manipulated Lauren into a sexual relationship after helping her financially, and then left her for dead following a heated argument where Lauren mentioned Dee-Dee's name.
Lauren, however, returned to Weatherfield after being missing for several months, revealing to Joel that she was pregnant with his child. Joel has since tried to silence her by providing her with accommodation at his old flat and offering to finance her move to Ireland for a fresh start, reports the Liverpool Echo.

Dee-Dee has no idea what Joel is really like (Image: ITV)In a shocking turn of events, Joel gave Lauren drugs to induce premature labour, resulting in the birth of their baby boy last week.
Fortunately, both Lauren and the baby survived, but Dee-Dee remains oblivious to Joel's true character. Recent scenes have shown her noticing his distracted behaviour.
Now, Coronation Street fans are buzzing with theories following Adam Barlow's (Sam Robertson) return to Weatherfield last week, speculating that a surprise twist could see Dee-Dee Bailey embroiled in a love affair with the long-time character.
Over on a Corrie Facebook fan page, one devotee of the show posted their excitement about Adam, commenting: "Adam is back. yay... hope he gets a good storyline."

The speculation heated up in the commentary thread as soap aficionados began forecasting a potential romantic turn between Dee-Dee and Adam.
One viewer speculated: "Adam will end up with Dee Dee." A second chipped in: "Brilliant, him and Dee Dee had a bit of a flirt if I remember rightly so he'll be there for her when she finds out about Joel."
Another chimed with the notion of an affair, posting: "What if they had an affair? Joel would flip!" While yet another endorsed the plot twist, saying: "I could see this happening," coupled with a fifth who added warily: "I don't think she would ever do that, but I wouldn't care, please just leave him!"
