ITV Loose Women star halts show as she shouts 'stop yawning' at studio audience

Loose Women: Linda Robson makes raunchy noises

When appearing on Loose Women on Wednesday afternoon, former Bake Off favourite Mel Giedroyc wasn't thrilled by one audience member, who yawned while she was telling a story.

Chatting about vacation memories, Kaye Adams inquired about her skiing antics with close friend Sue Perkins, the 56-year-old shared enthusiastically: "We did our one and only skiing holiday together when we were 30, we'd been nagged by a really good friend of ours, who is a very good skier-".

But then, Mel interrupted her own trip down memory lane to call out a yawning spectator as she reeled: "You can stop yawning in the front row now!"

This humorous quip sent waves of laughter through the panel and crowd. Undeterred, Mel pressed on, "This is a very good and exciting story about Sue and I going skiing together 26 years ago, thank you."

However, she made it clear she was joking as she assured the yawner it was all in good spirits, commenting: "It is a boring story, I'll give you that," reports the Mirror.

Continuing her tale Mel recounted how she and Sue found themselves as ski school novices amidst their friendship group of adept skiers.

She couldn't help boasting a bit, declaring: "Now, I don't want to be smug, but I was quite good."

Mel admitted with a chuckle that Sue didn't do as well as herself, which again prompted fits of laughter from the audience, as she reminisced about gleefully swooshing down the slopes while her friend struggled behind.

The 56-year-old confessed that as they're both competitive, it led to an awkward moment with Sue as she added: "She was cross, she was cross with me. I'm competitive, the two of us are competitive so it was awks. We laugh about it a lot now."

The presenter doubted that her friend Sue would be hitting the ski slopes again any time soon.

Reflecting on their enduring friendship, Mel expressed her affection for Sue, telling Kaye Adams: "I love her!"

In another segment of the show, Mel opened up about her menopause experience to the panellists and guest Mariella Frostrup, initially describing it as "terrible" before quickly downplaying it with "Well no, that's a bit dramatic".

Upon being questioned about Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), Mel revealed she was managing her symptoms with a combination of gel and pills.

She enthusiastically endorsed her regimen by commenting: "Gelling is great, I love my gel time!"

Loose Women continues weekdays on ITV from 12:30pm.
