Ruben Amorim has shown Leny Yoro some tough love after Manchester United's 3-2 defeat against Nottingham Forest last weekend, singling out the 19-year-old defender in his assessment of the game. United suffered their second successive loss on a stormy day at Old Trafford, popping the balloon that was Amorim's short-lived honeymoon period.
Yoro made his first start after earning his maiden minutes for the club off the bench in a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal days earlier.
He lasted just over an hour before making way for Noussair Mazraoui, completing a major step in his road to recovery after months on the sidelines.
The Frenchman could retain his starting berth when United face Viktoria Plzen tonight - unless he's among the victims of Amorim's relentless rotation at the dawn of his reign.
But the Portuguese tactician brought up his error in the build-up for one of Forest's three goals when discussing how his side will improve from the disappointing day in Czechia.
“It is really simple," Amorim explained ahead of the Europa League clash at the Doosan Arena.
"I think against Nottingham [Forest], we should pass the ball a little bit quicker, so it is with safety but a little bit quicker when everything is blocked.

"For me, the most important point is that every player should be in a good position to start when we play.
“We were controlling the game, and we started the second half very well, and if you remember one play, Leny Yoro makes a one-two, jumps and then makes a bad pass. He [gives them] a counter-attack and then, a goal.”
Yoro was United's marquee signing of the summer, joining from Lille in a £59million deal. However, a pre-season injury prevented him from featuring once under Ten Hag.
Despite Amorim's public comments, he has previously hailed Yoro as part of his future plans and clearly rates him highly.
It would be a surprise if the towering starlet wasn't a shoo-in on the right of the back three come May now he's back to fitness.
Yoro could drop out against Viktoria Plzen, but it would likely be with maintaining his condition in mind rather than a punishment for his role in Saturday's defeat.
Changes are expected. There have been 23 of them across the last four games as Amorim hands all of his players an opportunity to impress.
Amorim would make a major statement by placing his faith in him in this weekend's Manchester derby against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
